María del Mar Bel Borja, the colleague who teaches flute at the Cmus Profesional de Vigo, arrived this Tuesday February 6th to Lugano, canton of Switzerland, as part of the “Job Shadowing” activities of the Erasmus KA121 2023-2024 program.

After a long trip, Mar was informing the Erasmus+ Team about her stay at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano, Swiss city belonging to the Canton of Tizino, which lasted until Saturday, February 10th.

Our colleague fulfilled a tight schedule to try to attend as many classes as possible and then transfer all her learning to our faculty. The International Relations Coordinator, Hernando Flórez, and the Administrative Manager of the Academic Secretariat, Martina Verzasconi, received Mar the morning of her arrival at the center, explaining to her all the academic functioning of the center and the work plan that would be carried out in the following days.

Mar attended classes on flute pedagogy, chamber music, orchestra rehearsals, difficult behavior conference, children’s choir, didactics and ear training among others, being amazed with the good level of the students. The study system is quite different from ours, according to our colleague, but we learn from everything, in fact, she says that it was very interesting to talk with the professor of flute pedagogy, with whom she talked about common problems for students who study this instrument.

Below you can see some photos that Mar shared with us about her experience in Lugano. Thank you very much Mar for keeping us all the Erasmus+ Team so well informed, we are looking forward to hear all the details of your Swiss trip when you come back.
