Teachers from Kokkola on an Erasmus visit are giving a talk on the Finnish education system.

Last Friday, 13 March, as part of the many activities organised by the conservatoire, we had the pleasure of attending this fascinating talk on the Finnish education system, during which teachers Esa, Toni and Juhani from the Ostrobothnian Conservatory in Kokkola (Finland) explained the structure of music studies at their institution, as well as general studies, and drew comparisons with what they had observed during their visit to our centre this week.

The talk, which was open to the entire educational community, proved to be very interesting and sparked discussion and reflection on a range of issues, such as the diversification of the various levels of music education and their equivalence with the Galician system, funding, and the cost of studies.

As always, we in the Erasmus team are very grateful to everyone who attended and, above all, to the teaching staff at Kokkola, especially Toni, who led the talk, for their generosity in organising this event, which really enriched our experience over the past few days.
