From Wednesday 25 to Friday 27 March, teaching staff from the CMUS Profesional in Vigo took part in an Erasmus exchange programme involving job shadowing at the Maria Campina Regional Conservatory of the Algarve in the Portuguese city of Faro.

Professors Óscar Davila Mariño and Ramón Cabezas Varela toured the facilities, attended various academic activities and classes in the conservatoire’s different instrumental and theoretical-practical specialisms, as well as rehearsals by the centre’s instrumental ensembles.

As well as the academic activities, there was also time to explore the city of Faro and its surroundings; and, outside of the transport arrangements, Óscar and Ramón had the opportunity to visit our Erasmus partners at the Francisco Rosado Conservatory in the city of Loulé, who gave them a very warm welcome.

We are delighted to see how strong the ties we have forged with these two institutions in our neighbouring country are, and the Erasmus team would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and students at Faro for the warm welcome they gave our colleagues during this experience.
