Between 11 and 12 December 2024, our inspector, Rosalía Polo, travelled together with our Erasmus+ coordinator, Sara Peral, to the Conservatorio Giovanni Battista Martini in Bologna, on a preparatory visit and to see first-hand the work of the Erasmus+ Team. Rosalía, very kindly shares with us this reflection on her visit:

In relation to the Erasmus preparatory visit of the CMUS Professional of Vigo, in the Conservatory Giovanni Battista Martini of Bologna, I can only thank both the Erasmus Team and the Management Team of the school, for the invitation and all the work done so that I could participate from my position as current Inspector of the school.

This visit has been a great professional enrichment (as well as personally), due to the possibility of observing in first person the previous organisation from Vigo, but also the visit itself, with all the activities that it implies: interview with the school management, library manager, different teachers, etc., especially the time with the Erasmus coordination manager of the Italian school.

The exchange of information about the functioning of both centres, the fact of sharing and bringing together different interests to organise the visit of the teacher from Vigo in the coming months, the observation of different classes, rehearsals, presentations, concerts, the diversity of students, etc., can only result in a positive benefit in all aspects for the CMUS Professional Vigo, affecting, once again, the quality of the Galician educational centres, and affecting the special education centres – Music.

The perspective, once this experience is lived, certainly changes, allowing a job that may seem, in a normal way, merely administrative, to become a real experience.

Once again, CMUS Professional Vigo did an effective, efficient and efficient job, as it was until today.

Thank you very much, Sara, as the person in charge of the Eramus team of the Conservatory, for all the steps taken to have the Inspectorate as part of the trip. Thank you, also, every day in Bologna, for your time to explain, step by step, every aspect of the visit, every step taken and to be taken, during the visit, and for patiently answering all the questions I asked, thus facilitating all the learning acquired.
