Five teachers from Uppsala Kulturskola (Sweden) visited our school this week.
CMUS Professional received during this week the five teachers from the Uppsala Kulturskola in Sweden, which was the first time that our centre received Erasmus mobility visitors in the job shadowing modality. In the 2023-2024 academic year, Angus (electric guitar) and Kristina (piano) visited us as a preparatory visit as a partner school, and now, in addition to them, we have the presence of Ida (violin/viola), Maria (violin/viola) and Martin (clarinet).
The five teachers lived with our teachers and students, experiencing our way of working as a conservatory and sharing impressions about culture and music education. Thanks to the collaboration of the Erasmus+ Team, the Management Team and the Activities Team of the school, our Swedish colleagues participated in the job shadowing modality, attending classes of instrumental subjects of all departments, as well as various theoretical-practical subjects such as Harmony and Musical Language, and ensemble subjects such as bands, orchestras and choirs. Apart from the teaching activities, they held meetings with the different teams of the centre and participated in the podcast Os contos da Miñoca. For a week they completed a busy schedule living with us in all the activities that make up the day to day life of our school.
As not everything is going to be work, there was also some time to show them some representative places of the area in a small excursion to Monte Cepudo, the city centre and of course, Samil Beach.
Here you can see some photos of the different activities in which they participated.
We are very grateful for the collaboration of the whole educational community, who welcomed our visitors with all their affection, and the involvement of our Swedish colleagues, who, according to them, are very happy.
There have already been a few experiences in recent years with our colleagues from Uppsala Kulturskola, all very rewarding and enriching. Come back soon!
