Óscar Davila Mariño Professor of horn, chamber music, Jazz Band and professional outlets of music (optional) of the Cmus Profesional de Vigo, participated from 16 to 20 April 2024, together with Professor Ramón Cabezas, in the Erasmus+ mobility within the KA121 2023-2024 project of the Cmus Profesional de Vigo, through the job-shadowing of studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Música ‘Arrigo Boito’ of Parma (Italy), and leaves us his reflections on the experience, along with some photos.

In Oscar’s own words:

‘This mobility allowed me to acquire language skills in Italian, the opportunity to teach horn in a foreign higher conservatory, to get to know new horn repertoire to apply in the Elementary Grade, to know how to use didactic strategies to memorise scores, as well as to meet `ear training´ activities of different international teachers at the `Sentiamoci a Parama 2024 congress’.

‘Parma is a typical Italian city with its cathedral and baptistery, crossed by a river, very quiet, very flat, with lots of green spaces and of course with a very good cheese, Parmesan’.
